About Us
Our Mission: Building testing practitioners for the age of AI
Shade of Hue Labs is the all-in-one platform for modern software testing professionals.
We help practitioners stay relevant and get ahead in the age of AI through Learn, Play, and Apply: build software testing knowledge and skills, practice with methods and tools, then apply AI to testing and test AI systems in real work. Built with a testing brain: judgment, practice, and communication. Not another course catalog.

AdvisorWhat’s in the name of Shade of Hue
Shade of Hue is the English form of Sắc Thái Huế (Sac Thai Hue). In Vietnamese, sắc thái means character, or a shade of character. The name points to the character of Huế, Vietnam.
Huế was Vietnam’s imperial capital. It is known for craft, scholarship, and a quieter pace than the big commercial cities. People often compare it to Kyoto in Japan. For many western readers, Vienna is a closer feel: an emperor city shaped by culture and learning, not by being the loudest business hub. Hung advises one of Huế’s major universities.
This is also family ground. Hung’s grandparents and parents came from Huế. They grew up there and married in those early years. The Labs sit in that line: practice, judgment in context, and teaching that outlasts a tool trend.
Through Mettatonic Corporation he founded Shade of Hue, which helps testing practitioners at every stage, from their first lesson to senior work alongside AI agents. Off the clock, he's a jazz guitarist and vocalist.
